Fr Patrick writes…
On the last Sunday before Lent the CofE Lectionary specifies readings on the Transfiguration of Jesus (Luke 9: 28-36). We get a glimpse of Jesus in his glory before the downbeat season of Lent. This year we focused on Peter’s words, “Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.” We reflected on the desire to stay in the presence of the glorified Jesus, and we put up a tent (just one, not three!), which some people enjoyed!
