National Day Of Reflection

Fr Patrick writes…

The first national Covid lockdown started on Monday 23rd March 2020. A year later, on Tuesday 23rd March 2021, the CofE was one of many organisations supporting a National Day of Reflection to remember the 127,000 people who have died with 28 days of a positive Covid test. It was a chance to show solidarity with those who mourn. Other loses (social, financial, to freedom and wellbeing) were also remembered.

Ten minutes of prayer were held at St Mary’s Lapworth, finishing with a minute’s silence at 12 noon, after which a church bell was tolled. More than 20 people attended.
